Sunday

Last night was sad as it was our last night together and also a fun night. We had the awards and got to see the DVD of the play that Jackie James wrote for Tony and Bob’s birthday. This included a cast of staff and ex staff, two almost unrecognisable in drag and virtuoso performances from Maria and Molly. It was amazing: we laughed and laughed even though the videoing was a bit wobbly. The awards were as follows : Best Man - Eric Wilson, best team – Goose Creek Cattle Company (Mike Roll, Eric Wilson and me) but the funniest was most improved to Christoph and Dominique from Germany – see photo of their awards. They both have a good sense of humour ! Thankfully!

On Sunday morning I walked up to see if the bear was still around. I could see either a bear shaped rock or a bear and luckily a magpie ventured near to the carcass and the rock moved so I beat a hasty retreat. There is not much left of the deer but the carrion feeders are busy clearing up. Lindy and I were the only guests today so we rode Ferris Bueller and Smokey in the morning to High Ridge and then along the nature trail where the aspens are beautiful. In the afternoon we rode to Apache and saw deer. Smokey got very sweaty so had a wash off. More people are coming in tonight.
