The Lost Valley Ranch Community
Our Brand of Western Hospitality
What affects me most positively about LVR is the warmth and sense of community that the staff, from the wranglers to the maintenance crew, displays at all times. In 1994, I took my family to LVR during the summer. We had a wonderful time riding, eating, and meeting new friends. I always hoped to return some day. Well, my son and I finally came back for cattle week in Sept., 2012. We had a blast. We saw our unique 1994 brand on the wall of the dining room. My riding skills improved thanks to all the wranglers, but especially due to the instruction of Kellie and Chelsea. By the end of the week, my son Jason was going on the advanced rides. Our cabin was top notch, the food superb, and the camaraderie special.
What makes LVR special (I have been to about 8 dude ranches and 4 working ranches in the U.S. and Canada) is that they do everything well. It is the total package. The staff reflects their love of God's creation - the mountains, the animals, and especially we humans.
I hope to come back to LVR in 2013 with another family member if Jason, a father of two girls under 5 years old, is unable to travel with me.
Clay
