Back to blue skies again and so the snow just looks like a frosting on the trees. Rode to Apache in the morning and Wild Cat as an amalgamated group in the afternoon. Rode Casper. Josh showed the other English ladies how to rope.

Friday

All day ride to the South Platte – at last. Eight of us and four dogs set off and had a great day. Saw some elk on the horizon and lots of mule deer. We always knew where Milly was due to her baying. Had lunch on a rock by the river and threw sticks for Tex. Got back to see the large afternoon rides leaving. I rode May today to rest Sasha. Ranch now very busy for the week end.
